Place-making at Regent’s Place

Recognising that it’s not just buildings, but the spaces between and around them that make effective places, British Land commissioned ZZA to research user experience of the mixed uses and public realm on their commercially successful London office campus, Regent’s Place. Deploying ZZA’s bespoke UX:CAMPUS methodology, we analysed the site’s usage, researched instructive comparators, and conducted a comprehensive and informative suite of interviews with people based in the offices, residents of the housing, users of the gym, nursery, bar, and open spaces, plus the operators of the on-site amenities, neighbours, and visitors to the site. Our analysis and recommendations to enrich the campus as an enjoyable place to work, live and play generated a strategic design brief, selection of architects and landscape designer, and phased menu for implementation.
