Following occupancy of the BBC’s new Media Village – the outcome of ambitious aims and innovative procurement processes, the Corporation commissioned ZZA to undertake an evaluation with users across all departments in both the Broadcast and Media Centre buildings. Responding to the BBC’s twin objectives for engagement with the large user population and to gain meaningful and useful knowledge through qualitative research, ZZA devised a complementary suite of methods involving face-to-face and online research. The outputs informed the ongoing approach both at White City and on successive BBC projects, including the fine interior fit-out for BBC Scotland at Pacific Quay.
